Lisa Schuldt

Lisa Schuldt considers herself to be an “Advanced Beginner” knitter. After knitting one scarf while in high school, she didn’t come back to the skill until about 18 months ago. Then, after knitting two scarves, she made herself a hooded sweater coat. Her confidence boosted, she has since completed more than seven pairs of slippers, and is currently working on a sweater for her husband that she began last year and had almost finished before deciding to rip it out and start again. “If it’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to be patient with myself. As my mom said when I made a scarf for my brother 50 years ago, ‘You don’t want to give a gift that you feel the need to apologize for.”
