Kitty Brennan

Kitty K. Brennan retired from the Wisconsin Court of Appeals Judge for District I in September 2019. She was appointed to the court in 2008 and was then reelected on April 2009 and 2015. Judge Brennan was Chief Judge for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court from 2005-2008 and a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge for 14 years. Prior to her judicial career, Judge Brennan was an attorney in private practice from 1984 to 1994 at the Murphy & Brennan law firm in South Milwaukee and a Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney from 1977 to 1984. Judge Brennan earned her J.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 1977. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1972. Before law school, Judge Brennan was a high school English teacher.
