Kim Horejs, Ed.D.

Kim is a retired instructor with the early childhood program at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis. She holds a Doctorate of Education degree with an emphasis on leadership and adult education through Nova Southeastern University. Her dissertation addressed how prepared early childhood associate degree graduates are for university transfer. Before becoming and instructor at FVTC, she owned and administered three child care programs in Oshkosh, Wis., that were licensed to care for 140 children. She supervised one director, two site supervisors and 40 employees during this time.

She teaches online for three different colleges: Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada; Eastern Oregon University in Oregon; and UW-Milwaukee in Wisconsin.

She has been married to her husband Dan for almost 33 years, they have three daughters and two grandsons. They currently reside in Belize, and Kim has been back to Wisconsin twice in the last year to help with her new grandson.

Technology and social media allows her to continue her passion in early childhood education and stay in close contact with family and friends.
