Kelly Mahoney

Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in childhood special education from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, with a concentration in English and a minor in psychology. She has a master’s degree from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, in advanced special education. Kelly joined Teach for America in 2015 and has been working on Milwaukee’s South Side for the last five years. Kelly additionally has worked with Special Olympics Wisconsin as a coach for their Young Athletes program.

Kelly believes in facilitating all styles of learning, developing multi-sensory lesson plans to meet the needs of auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners, and engaging individuals in as much hands-on experience and experiential learning as possible.
