Katie Whitmore

Katie Whitmore has been in education for five years and is currently a 6th-grade reading and language arts teacher at UCC Acosta Middle School on Milwaukee’s South Side. She began working with youth as a youth development volunteer with Peace Corps Kazakhstan. She has since worked with various youth-serving organizations including the Boys & Girls Club and COA Youth & Family Centers. She has an undergraduate degree in international studies and Russian from Macalester College and a Master of Arts in education from Alverno College.
