Connie Williams

Connie received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education along with a certificate in infant, early childhood and family mental health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a trainer, consultant and coach providing professional development to staff, administrators and parents of young children and youth.

Connie has held various positions in the early childhood and afterschool care fields: elementary teacher, preschool teacher, afterschool and summer camp group leader, program coordinator and nonprofit center director. Connie was a child care specialist for over 25 years with the City of Madison’s accreditation program where she provided quality assessment, consultation and technical assistance to early childhood and afterschool programs. Among her areas of focus are helping staff understand the whole child and the impact that stress and trauma have on development.
