Catherine Wanzer

Catherine Wanzer is the corporate communications manager at Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings with 100,000 employees in 150 countries. In this role, Catherine provides internal enterprise strategic communications support to the areas of diversity and inclusion; environmental, health and safety; and internal initiatives for public relations, marketing and branding.

Catherine is personally and professionally passionate about empowering women. She served as a mentor for multiple chapters of Girls on the Run and is involved in several professional women’s organizations. She is thrilled to be on the advisory committee for the Women Leaders Conference and is excited to continue empowering and engaging women throughout Milwaukee.

Catherine is a graduate of the Page Society’s Future Leaders Program, a two-year course designed to prepare high-potential communications executives for the role of chief communications officer. She is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Leadership Institute and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, she worked in various roles for Quad, a marketing solutions partner, and other Milwaukee-based manufacturing companies. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s degree in business from Concordia University of Wisconsin.
