Catherine Wanzer

Catherine is a hospitality entrepreneur, real estate investor and the Co-Founder of Wisco Hosts, a company that provides services focused on the short-term rental real estate industry. She is also a Co-Founder of the Fresh Coast Motel, a new boutique motel coming to Fish Creek in Door County in spring of 2024.

Catherine is personally and professionally passionate about empowering women and helping them build the career they are passionate about. She served as a mentor for multiple chapters of Girls on the Run and is involved in several professional women’s organizations. She is excited to have the continued opportunity to be part of the Women Leaders Conference and bring together Milwaukee’s passionate and fearless female leaders.

Catherine is a graduate of the Page Society’s Future Leaders Program, a two-year course designed to prepare high-potential communications executives for the role of Chief Communications Officer. She is also a lifetime member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Prior to her current role, she was an internal communications leader at Johnson Controls, where she was responsible for providing internal strategic communications support for the company’s Global Commercial and Global Field Operations functions. Previously, she held multiple leadership positions at Quad along with other Milwaukee-based manufacturing companies.

Catherine holds a master’s degree in Business with an emphasis in public relations and marketing from Concordia University, and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
