Bob Peterson

Bob Peterson taught fifth grade for more than 25 years in the Milwaukee Public Schools. He is founding editor of Rethinking Schools magazine. He was a founder of La Escuela Fratney, Wisconsin’s first two-way bilingual school. He co-edited “Rethinking Columbus: The Next 500 Years” and other books including “Rethinking Mathematics” and “Rethinking Elementary Education.” He is a former president of the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association and currently serves as the citywide representative on the MPS board.
