Chris Beimborn

Chris Beimborn, STEM-outreach specialist for the UWM College of Engineering & Applied Science, coordinates the UW-Milwaukee EnQuest program. EnQuest, or Engineering Quest, is an all-girl, project-based engineering summer camp for high school students. Participants gain skills, spend time in engineering labs and workplaces, experience life on a college campus, build supportive friendships and interact with professional women engineers and scientists.

Chris brings 25 years of experience as a science education consultant to her role. She has assisted school districts, informal education providers and communities in engaging diverse audiences in learning skills, concepts and behavior. She taught teachers about teaching; now she creates and delivers curriculum aimed at bringing diversity to the pursuit of STEM.
