Racine Heritage Walking Tour
This walking tour includes beautiful downtown Racine, its Lake Michigan lakefront and the Root River Valley. We will learn about the city’s founding by a sea captain in 1834 and about its industrial, architectural, immigration and abolitionist history. We will start and end the tour at the Racine Heritage Museum, which you are welcome to visit. The museum was formerly a historic Carnegie library and offers exhibits that share Racine County’s rich history.
