Racine Heritage Walking Tour

The Racine Heritage Walking tour is a 1.1 mile/90 minute guided tour of downtown Racine, the lakefront and the Root River Valley. On the tour, learn about the city’s 1834 founding by sea captian, Gilbert Knapp, and Racine’s rich and storied industral, architectural, immigrant and abolitionist history. After the tour, participants are welcome to visit the Racine Heritage Museum, a former historic Carnegie library. The walking tour is handicap accessible, but it is a one mile walking tour on the Racine city streets. The Museum is not ADA compliant.
