Flannery O’Connor: History, Landscape, Relationship, Modernity
We extend our study of “Special Topics” with the insight of more excellent “O’Connor Guest Scholars,” including several from the NEH 2023 Summer Institute, Reconsidering Flannery O’Connor. We will look more deeply at Flannery’s life at Andalusia, in the South with its unique history, examine additional pivotal relationships she had and explore her interest in “modernity” and mysticism.
