Explore Wingspread Conference Center

Completed in 1939, the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Johnson family home, known as Wingspread, is nestled amid 36 wooded ravines and a series of ponds and lagoons near the western shore of Lake Michigan. Built for H.F. Johnson Jr, president of SC Johnson, it was donated to the Foundation and since 1960, the fireplaces have been the gathering spots for men, women and young people who come to Wingspread conferences from around the world as guests of the Johnson Foundation to meet, plan and share ideas that will make a difference on behalf of the public good. Wingspread was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1989. Join this Go Explore for the rare opportunity to learn more about this amazing conference enter. Participants will enjoy an introductory talk and a video about the children that grew up on the property, followed by the opportunity to explore the building and outdoor areas (weather permitting) on your own.
