Study the seven seas and learn all about the pioneering people who discovered and used them … for better and for worse. Columbus and Magellan made their names by riding the tides, but there were many others. “Jack Sparrow” and other pirates worked sea to sea. Learn about the different types of ships they sailed, the different jobs that the shipmates had and assemble your own ship’s crew. Find out what the pirates wore and ate. Join us on the last day for a treasure hunt and pirate party. Please note to bring an old shoebox to class on the first day.

Kindergartners must be five years old by June 10, and must have prior five-days-a-week school experience to participate in our program.
