An essay entitled “Human Rights Abuses Committed by the Guggenheim and Louvre Museums on Saadiyat Island” written by graduate student Kara Hendrickson has been published in the first edition of the Fwd: Museums journal.

Senior Lecturer Michael Ashenbrenner’s ARTHIST 101: Ancient and Medieval Art and Architecture discussion sections visited the UWM Special Collections this week to view facsimiles of famous 7th-9th century illuminated manuscripts with teaching assistants Leigh Wilcox and Kara Hendrickson.

Graduate students in ARTHIST 704: Introduction to Art Museum Studies II get one-on-one collection management training from the Curator, UWM Art Collection, Christa Story.

Last week students from Kara Hendrickson’s and Matt Rogan’s discussion sections visited the UWM Art History Gallery for the last time this semester.

ARTHIST 102: Renaissance to Modern Art and Architecture visited the UWM Art History Gallery again this week to view objects from the UWM Art Collection.

Teaching Assistants Matt Rogan and Kara Hendrickson are using the UWM Art Collection with weekly visits to the UWM Art History gallery to enhance the ARTHIST 102: Renaissance to Modern Art and Architecture experience.
