Painting from the UWM Art Collection mentioned by BYU Museum of Art’s publication

The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon

A work in the UWM Art Collection, James Tissot’s The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon, is included in the BYU Museum of Art’s recent publication, James Tissot’s Men and Women of the Old Testament.

While the image is unfortunately not reproduced, it is nonetheless exciting to have its details and location appear in a major publication like this one. Tissot has gotten a lot of attention in recent years (e.g., James Tissot: Fashion and Faith at the San Francisco Legion of Honor) and it’s great to now have our painting better known in the world!
