Reflections on a Collection: The UWM Icons Revisited Fifty Years Later opened in the UWM Art History Gallery on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Graduate student Laura Sims curated the exhibition for her thesis and gave a gallery talk during the opening reception. Sims discussed the history, assemblage, and donation of the Rogers Family Collection of Greek and Russian icons to the UWM Art Collection. Sims’ advisors were Associate Professor Richard Leson and Professor Derek Counts.
