Professor and Graduate Student take Selfie in Rome

Associate Professor Tanya Tiffany and Graduate Student Samantha Landre were both doing research in Rome this summer. They met up at the Cornaro Chapel in front of the Gian Lorenzo Bernini statue of Saint Teresa of Avila and took this selfie.

Thanks to a UWM Research Growth Initiative Award, Tanya conducted research in Italy and Spain, where she was working on her current book project: Visual Culture and Feminine Devotion in the Early Modern Spanish Empire.

Samantha Landre took a course on Roman Baroque Sculpture through John Cabot University to help her research for her thesis on the Bel Composto in Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s Ecstasy of Saint Teresa.
