Lynne Shumow at the Haggerty Museum of Art

UWM Art History graduate alumnae Lynne Shumow is the Curator of Education at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University. In October, she hosted two visits from Visiting Assistant Professor Hilary Snow’s classes. Students from ARTHIST 341: Seventeenth-Century Art in Holland and Flanders visited the painting vault to see Northern Baroque works, including works by followers of Rubens, Rembrandt and Van Dyck. Students from ARTHIST 770: Japanese Print Culture viewed selections from the Haggerty collection of Japanese ukiyo-e prints and two more modern prints. Lynne Shumow also gave students a tour of the galleries and offered some general advice for careers in art history.
