American Beauty: Nineteenth Century Landscapes opened at the Charles Allis Art Museum on Friday, February 13, 2015. Graduate student Kate Rafferty curated the exhibition for her thesis and gave a talk during the opening reception. For her exhibition, Rafferty borrowed landscape paintings from the Charles Allis, the Wright Museum at Beloit College, and the UWM Art Collection. Rafferty’s advisors were Associate Professor Tanya Tiffany and Senior Lecturer/Director, UWM Art Collection and Galleries, Linda Brazeau.
