UW Flexible Option Degree

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee partners with UW-Extension on the UW Flexible Option. UWM offers four undergraduate degrees and a certificate in this cutting-edge distance learning initiative. The UW Flexible Options self-directed, competency-based degree and certificate programs allow students to start any month, work at a personalized pace, and earn credit using knowledge they already have.

Associate of Arts and Sciences | Learn the foundation of more than 200 college majors or complete your general education requirements with the AAS Flexible Option. The flexible degree format allows you to earn the credits you need at your own pace, on your schedule, building on knowledge you already have.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing | RN to BSN program is for nurses with associate degrees who would like to earn a baccalaureate degree while still having time for work and family.

Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences Diagnostic Imaging degree completion | The degree completion program is designed for returning adult learners with several years of healthcare experience who hold active ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registry.

Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology | The degree completion program immerses students in information science; information architecture; information organization, storage and retrieval; and applications of the Internet focusing on a core set of IST competencies, students are encouraged to expand their skills and knowledge through a personally created degree plan built to match their career goals.

Business and Technical Communications certificate | provides a curriculum that will enable students to develop exceptionally strong writing and communication skills.
