Notes regarding Provost’s Friday Update and item submissions:

  • Provost’s Updates are sent out weekly, on Fridays, unless otherwise noted. There will not be a Friday Update sent on March 24, 2023 (during UWM’s spring recess).
  • The deadline for submitting items for the Provost’s Update is end of business day on the Friday prior to the Update. See upcoming Friday Update dates and submission deadlines, below. Items submitted after the deadline will not be included in the forthcoming Update but will be added to the subsequent one. We will not be able to include events with dates in the past.
  • For events, only those occurring the week after the update is sent will be included. Note that events requiring advance registration can be included in the Update at an earlier date.

    Announcement:

    The Advisory Committee on Educational Technology invites proposals from the campus for one-time funds in 2021-22 supporting projects in line with the intent of the Educational Technology fees.     Russell Cuhel (Freshwater Sciences) received the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) Ramón Margalef Award for Excellence in Education (https://www.aslo.org/aslo-awards/2021-aslo-award-recipients/2021-margalef-award-recipient/) in recognition of his outstanding 27-year leadership in training, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities that have promoted a diverse undergraduate presence within the aquatic sciences.
