Non-F1 Visa Costs
Students who are U.S. Residents or on a visa that is not an F1 visa (F2, B1, B2, K1, J1, etc.) are not legally required to be enrolled in the Intensive English Program full-time (4 classes). This means that students can take 1, 2, 3, or 4 courses. (Learn more about our curriculum and our courses here.) The tuition this student pays is determined by the number of courses that the student takes.
- Non-F1 visa students are eligible to enroll at Month 1, Month 2, and Month 3 start dates in the semester. Email us at el-academy@uwm.edu for questions about later start dates.
- B visas are allowed to enroll for 1 month of courses for Month 1, Month 2, and Month 3 start-dates
- Students will be charged for a full term from their start date.
- Enrollment start dates are Month 1, Month 2, and Midterm start dates. Check on the Session Dates and Application Deadlines page for specific start dates for the terms.
- All students are enrolled until the end of the term starting from their start date.
- There is NO start date for the last month of the term.
- Enrollment does not change month to month. Meaning if you enroll for 2 classes you will be in those classes until the end of term.
- Payment of tuition and fees are due the first day of class.
