Deferral of an Application

*Please note, this process if for Intensive English Program students only. If you have been fully admitted into your degree program and your I20 was issued by the CIE/ISSS office, you must contact them for the deferral process.

An applicant must contact ELA before the First Day of the Session if a deferral is necessary.

After the third deferral, a student will be charged the application fee again.

Students entering on an F-1 visa must submit new proof of funding if the original paperwork is more than six (6) months old.

To defer your IEP admission date, please complete this form. Once the form is complete you will be given directions on how to complete the deferral in the ISSS Connect Portal.

You have 30 days after your I20 start date to complete the deferral process, after that date, your I20 will be canceled. 

Cancellation of an Application

Cancellation notice must be made in writing (e-mail is OK).

There is no refund of the initial application fee of $160. A tuition refund of 100% is given if the cancellation notice is received before the first day of Week 1 of a session. No refund is given for a cancellation notice submitted after classes have started.
