Versatility

Students are prepared for modern, multifaceted professional careers as performers and/or teachers of chamber ensemble, orchestral, and solo repertory. The program offers a thorough grounding in instrumental technique and repertory, and broad and continuous experience in performance.

Performance Opportunities

Milwaukee and the surrounding area are home to many orchestras: the internationally acclaimed Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Milwaukee Ballet, the Florentine Opera, as well as the Racine, Waukesha, Kenosha and Sheboygan Symphony Orchestras. Opportunities abound for qualified string players who want to audition for these performing arts organizations.

Alicia Storin

Chamber Music Certificate | 2013

“We can read history books, but the closest we can get to experiencing it would be from a composition of that time or a novel written in a particular era. It’s a personified action of what happened at that point in history and given to us in a nutshell." -Alicia Storin, founding member of the Cadance Collective and Riso Quartet
