One organization all Peck School of the Arts students should know about is the Black & Gold Committee, which gives students a voice in the decision-making process for our entire school. Representatives from each department participate in monthly meetings to carry out a student-set agenda to help shape the environment where you learn and grow as artists.

Visual Arts
We are a group of students who are all united by one thing: our love for design. We use the group as a way to exchange ideas and information while gaining experience and getting some really cool benefits!
A space for people who love animation to talk about animation – even if you’re not an animator. We have movie and game nights, and can also teach you stuff about animation if you’re curious!
Focused on the goal of art and social justice, students apply their artistic knowledge to a variety of topics. Student also learn about social justice issues while engaging with their community.
AFA was created as a place where artists come together and grow as a community. We are a club for majors and non-majors alike. We hope to make space for collaboration, community, fun and art making.
Our purpose is to sponsor visiting artists and lecturers, and foster community outreach programs. CASA activities include attending the NCECA conference annually, exhibitions, group firings, hosting visiting artists, art sales and open studio nights.

doc|UWM is the documentary media center that bridges academics with real world experience and gives students an opportunity to work on professional productions.
Encouraging all levels of photographers, Focus brings together students who are interested in photography to exhibit work, participate in group outings and gain experience in fundraising.
Showcasing outstanding writing and art from undergraduates in editing, publishing, publication design, web design, publicity, fundraising and business practices. Our goal is to connect student writers and artists with a broader network of creative spirits within and beyond Milwaukee.
GDD is a place where students of all varieties come together and construct projects and ideas with each other from all sides of gaming. We have people who design board games and code, as well as create sound, art, story and narration of games. We also do all our social media via Discord.
We introduce students and the community to contemporary, experimental and avant-garde film, video and installation work. We host guest artists and screenings, and allow students to create an entire festival from the ground up, providing them with skills in curating, fundraising and marketing.
As co-hosts to the UWM Film Studies Archive, we’ve been tasked with preservation and revitalization through university and community outreach. Students gain hands-on experience, and professional development within Cinema and Media Studies. Besides our ongoing programming efforts we also host workshops and guest speakers.
This organization is formed to encourage students in the exploration of jewelry and metalsmithing. This is achieved through grant writing, funding guest artists, community outreach, social gatherings and hosting exhibitions and sales.
Dedicated to promoting awareness and love for all forms of printmaking, we take field trips, host discussions and guest speakers, and cultivate friendships, collaborations and connections.

A film community established to create a safe space for all genders to begin a dialogue about the disparities and inequalities within the industry and what can be done to facilitate change. We seek to educate, empower and support marginalized students so they have the tools and confidence to thrive.
Sculpture Club is committed to the appreciation, creation and education concerning all three-dimensional art. Whether it be glass, bronze, clay, wood, metal, digital fabrication, performance or other media, Sculpture Club wants to help facilitate and foster artistic creativity within club members.

The Afro-Caribbean Jazz Orchestra aims to provide UWM students with the opportunity to explore the music of Latin America through workshops and music events.
Preserving and celebrating Mexican culture through the art of dance, otherwise known as Ballet Folklórico. All are welcome to join regardless of background and experience!
We hope to further knowledge and appreciation of the classical guitar through world-class performances and master classes.
We strive to communicate, connect, inspire and advance knowledge within the field of music education.
Open to all UWM dancers and dance majors interested in improv and community building. We also produce an annual calendar with proceeds used to produce a free, entirely student-run show.
Dead Poets at UWM is a casual, creative club to create a safe space to share poetry and other original arts.
Open to all performers and students interested in learning about and listening to double reed instruments. We also create opportunities for professional development, performances, and community engagement.
We work alongside the UWM flute studio to create a fun, collaborative, and engaging environment for all flute players. Members are given opportunities to play in large and small ensemble settings, participate in community service, and attend flute-related clinics and masterclasses.
Our purpose is to develop dancing and choreography skills of all students while spreading the art of hip-hop through the campus and community.
KOMET Dance Crew specializes in K-Pop dance covers to post on YouTube and to perform at various K-Pop dance competitions and showcases across the midwest!
We explore the study of the horn, create camaraderie among horn players and promote awareness of repertoire in the Milwaukee area and beyond.
We are a group of collectors, appreciators, and explorers of music’s flavors who create and collaborate semesterly. This is a safe fun space to share your favorites, find new music, expand your ears, and maybe find a concert buddy!
Panther Improv will spread laughter at UWM through the art of improvised comedy.
We are a student led organization with the purpose of providing the skills to learn to how to play a percussion instrument.
We seek to create connections through performances, clinics and events within the percussion community, the Milwaukee community and beyond.
We’re an audition-based inclusive a cappella group that provides extracurricular musical opportunities for all students. Much like a real life Pitch Perfect, we also place a big emphasis on competition through the means of Varsity Vocal’s ICCA tournaments or other small events.
Open to players of all abilities, we provide opportunities to learn about and appreciate the saxophone while gaining experience in playing and listening. Throughout the year we bring in world class musicians and perform in a variety of settings.
