Khaled Sabha (Information Studies) was interviewed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel last week on a ransomware attack on a Milwaukee company.  The article appeared both in the Journal Sentinel and USA Today newspapers.

UWM Connected Systems Institute Executive Director Finalist on campus this week

Samee Khan visits campus Monday (December 9). The Open Forum will be held at 10 a.m. in the CSI Classroom Space located in the East Wing of the Golda Meir Library. See the finalist page for more information. Feedback forms for each candidate will be posted on the finalist page by the end of the day.

HLC Accreditation: Assessment of OWC-B Courses

As you might know, our accreditation requires UWM to engage in meaningful assessment of general education courses. A group of faculty from UWM’s English department has developed a rubric for assessing level-B Oral and Written Communication (OWC-B) courses and is piloting this rubric in Spring 2020. Anyone teaching OWC-B courses in Spring 2020 is encouraged to participate in the pilot and provide feedback on the usability of the rubric in your course. Faculty teaching OWC-B courses in the spring will be provided with more information in the coming weeks. If you have questions, please contact Adam Andrews (andrewsa@uwm.edu). Our thanks to the English department for taking the lead on this important work!
