The Everyday Projects

According to its mission statement:  “The Everyday Projects uses photography to challenge stereotypes that distort our understanding of the world. We are creating new generations of storytellers and audiences that recognize the need for multiple perspectives in portraying the cultures that define us.”

Partnered with Photowings, The Pulitzer Center, and Open Society Foundations, The Everyday Projects includes both the work of professional journalists and photographers, and crowd-sourced photos that contribute to the mission.

At present, there are sections for Brazil Ecuador, Guatemala and Latin America (general).  The Everyday Projects is also developing classroom tools, using photography to challenge sterotypes.
