Holiday Traditions from Mexico

This time of the year has many different holiday traditions celebrated across the world, by many different cultures. Christmas is one winter holiday that is probably the most visible in our society, but what we see in the media is generally a representation of different European Christmas traditions. The National Endowment for the Humanities has an article about Christmas celebrations in Mexico, and how many of them are rooted in ancient Indigenous traditions from the area that are still celebrated today.
