The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) published a blog post last year on decolonizing the classroom. This post aims to get educators thinking about the colonial structures in their classrooms, and about ways to dismantle these systems. Included are suggested readings by Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx authors, including Gloria Anzaldúa, Paulo Freire, and Audre Lorde. Find the post here.
