Dear Colleagues,

I hope this finds you all settling into the semester.

As the Provost’s Office continues to adjust to Dev Venugopalan’s retirement, we are seeking self-nominations for an Interim Special Assistant for Faculty Affairs.

Stephen Schmid, who is currently serving as interim in this role, will start full-time at UW System in January. To provide some overlap and onboarding, we are planning to have the selected individual start part–time (.25 FTE) in November 2023 and move to .75 FTE from January 2024 – June 30, 2024, at which time we expect there to be a permanent appointment following a national search.

Please find attached the Position Description. Candidates are asked to submit their CV and a letter stating their interest in the role and how their experience and skills will fulfill the responsibilities and duties of that role. Application materials (letter and CV) should be submitted to the Office of the Provost (provost-office@uwm.edu) no later than end of business on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
