In spring 2020, the Pabst Mansion set up a partnership with UWM’s graduate program in Translation and Interpreting Studies to translate about 350 letters written from 1841 to 1887 by members of the Pabst and Best families.
German-English Translation students Marisa Irwin and Nastassja Myer completed their internship in summer of 2020, under the supervision of Viktorija Bilic, associate professor of Translation and Interpreting Studies, and Jocelyn Slocum, curator at Pabst Mansion.
Their work is featured in the UWM Report. Congratulations! The graduate students will also give a presentation on the project on February 24 at 7.30pm. The event on Facebook Live is free and open to the public: https://fb.me/e/1Qjos2fMR.
