Election Post-Mortem with C21

November 6, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

POL SCI @ UWM is pleased to promote this Center for 21st Century Studies event, featuring our own Professor Tom Holbrook!  Join us!
In a year unlike any other, the US is facing a number of reckonings: with white supremacy, the climate crisis, a deadly pandemic, and the very institutions of democracy. Can democracy survive the election of Donald Trump? Could it survive his re-election?

Join C21 three days after Election Day to discuss this election’s unusual electoral politics, made even more complicated by the pandemic. C21 director Richard Grusin will moderate a discussion with Anna Sampaio (Director and Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies and Political Science, Santa Clara University), Thomas Holbrook (Distinguished Professor and Wilder Crane Professor of Government, Political Science, UWM), and David Redlawsk (James R. Soles Professor of Political Science, University of Delaware) as we discuss how voting has unfolded, media coverage of the election, and what the future might hold.

You can watch the live event HERE, or watch later on C21’s YouTube Channel.
