Election Post-Mortem With C21

Nov 6, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Virtual event: Once the event starts you can view the live video below or on our YouTube channel.

In a year unlike any other, the US is facing a number of reckonings: with white supremacy, the climate crisis, a deadly pandemic, and with the very institutions of democracy. Can democracy survive the election of Donald Trump? Could it survive his re-election?

Join C21 three days after Election Day to discuss this election’s unusual electoral politics, made even more complicated by the pandemic. Join C21 director Richard Grusin, Anna Sampaio (Director and Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies and Political Science, Santa Clara University), Thomas Holbrook (Distinguished Professor and Wilder Crane Professor of Government, Political Science, UWM), and David Redlawsk (James R. Soles Professor of Political Science, University of Delaware) as we discuss how voting has unfolded, media coverage of the election, and what the future might hold.

Please note: Closed captioning will be provided by YouTube within 24 hours after the event has concluded.
