LGBT Studies Certificate Program

UWM is the only campus in the state of Wisconsin with an LGBT Studies Program that offers its own courses. Our program attracts hundreds of students who wish to explore sexual orientation and gender identity in depth. The program is interdisciplinary, and over a dozen affiliated departments have offered classes. Students can complete a Certificate in LGBT Studies to indicate to future employers their expertise in working with LGBT populations in social services, business, health care, public affairs, and other careers.
