Milwaukee Resources
- LGBT Community Center – The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is dedicated to serving the needs of LGBTQ people and to making the Greater Milwaukee area safer and more inclusive. The Center offers programming around anti-violence, healthy relationships, counseling, financial coaching, as well as a lending library with over 2000 LGBT titles, meeting space for over 100 groups during the year, computer/internet access, and resource referrals.
- Milwaukee PrideFest – The nations largest LGBT festival with permanent festival grounds, owned and operated entirely by volunteers each and every year. PrideFest Milwaukee does not have one paid employee, simply the dedication and devotion to bring together a festival each and every year for our community.
- LGBTMilWALKee – an interactive walking app that highlights LGBTQIA+ history landmarks in the Milwaukee area
- Lesbian Alliance of Metro Milwaukee – Lesbian Alliance is a volunteer run organization working to strengthen the community of lesbians and women who love women in the Milwaukee area.
- Cream City Foundation – Cream City Foundation mobilizes philanthropic resources by harnessing the pride, passion, and commitment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies to advance the human rights and respond to the human needs of LGBT people in Southeastern Wisconsin.
- Diverse & Resilient – Diverse & Resilient works toward the healthy development of LGBT people in Wisconsin by creating and sustaining programs, groups, and communities to take action.
Unhoused or Housing Insecure Resources
- Courage MKE is a non-profit focused on serving LGBTQIA+ youth (up to age 24) facing homelessness, including owning two licensed group homes for displaced LGBTQIA+ youth on Milwaukee’s south side.
- Pathfinders is an organization that serves the Greater Milwaukee area, supporting displaced and homeless youth with a variety of case management and service opportunities. - Impact 2-1-1 is a free, confidential helpline that anyone can call for more information about resources, services, and programs that address housing insecurity, food insecurity, financial assistance, and other crises. Just dial 2-1-1.

State-wide Resources
- Trans Law Help Wisconsin – Trans Law Help primarily focuses on supporting transgender and nonbinary people navigate legal transitioning steps, such as changing your legal name and/or gender markers. They also have a list of many resources from around the state for a variety of topics, such as legal support, health care access, and BIPOC specific resources.
- Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce Job Board – The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is a statewide organization that works to create a fully inclusive state by promoting economic growth and opportunities among LGBT owned and allied businesses, corporations, and professionals in Wisconsin. This board includes job postings from their current members, creating an easy place to find inclusive workplaces in Wisconsin.
- Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project – This not-for-profit organization’s mission is to reconnect Wisconsin with its lost heritage and hidden history, through ongoing research, presentations, publications, walking tours, and online resources.
- Queer Zine Archive Project – The primary function of QZAP is to provide a free on-line searchable database of the collection with links allowing users to download electronic copies of zines. By providing access to the historical canon of queer zines, they hope to make them more accessible to diverse communities and reach wider audiences.
