Structure of IEP/Sample Schedule

Below is an example schedule of the IEP classes and general structure of the day and week.

Structure of the IEP

This structure applies to students in all levels. Reading, Listening & Speaking, and Writing run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday*. The Combined Skills Content course runs two days a week: Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday* depending on the level. Fridays are reserved for independent study, field trips, or other extracurricular activities. Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks long. Each semester has two 8-week sessions. Summer is divided into two 4-week sessions for a total of 8-weeks. The full time that students attend classes per day is between 4-5.5 hours a day. This creates a total of 21-24 credit hours per week.
