Conversation Partner Program Registration for Native English Speakers

The conversation partner program runs during the Fall and Spring semesters.

If you are a native speaker of English, please fill out this form to register as a conversation partner in our Conversation Partner Program. By completing this form, you agree that you have grown up speaking English, and you are agreeing to participate in this program for this current semester. This involves checking the email that you put in the form on a daily basis and communicating with your partner(s) and the program administrators as needed. Thanks in advance for your commitment to the program.

*Please note that we try our best to match you with a partner that speaks your preferred foreign language, however, there is no guarantee. Additionally, community members are welcome and encouraged to register, however, we do give matching priority to current UWM students. Community members will be matched on a partner availability basis.

Once you have filled out this form, we will be able to match you with a partner or two partners.

  • Please be sure you check or forward this email. This will be the way the program contacts you. You can give your partner a different email address when you meet.
  • We will try to accommodate as many requests as possible but cannot guarantee any language-specific partnerships.
    Please note: we will give matching preference to current UWM students over other people.
    Certain cultures/religions do have binary gender preferences, so thank you in advance for answering this question.
    We will try our best to only give you at least one partner (dependent on registration), however, we greatly appreciate any willingness to have two partners due to the high demand for native speakers of English.
