Call for Breakout Session Proposals: Wisconsin Nonprofit Summit 2025

The Wisconsin Nonprofit Summit invites leaders, innovators, and changemakers to submit speaker proposals for breakout sessions at our 2025 conference, themed Future Forward: Innovating Nonprofits for Tomorrow’s Challenges. This year’s Summit, held July 24-25, 2025, at the Brookfield Conference Center in Brookfield, WI, equips nonprofit professionals with the tools, insights, and inspiration needed to navigate an evolving landscape and drive meaningful impact.

Focus Areas for Breakout Sessions

We are seeking proposals that align with the Summit’s focus on:

  1. Embracing Change
    • Strategies for adapting to societal, economic, and technological shifts.
    • Case studies on navigating uncertainty and transforming challenges into opportunities.
    • Practical tools for managing organizational change and fostering resilience.
  1. Driving Innovation
    • Exploring creative solutions to complex issues in the nonprofit sector.
    • Leveraging digital tools, storytelling, and innovative partnerships to increase impact.
    • Highlighting cutting-edge trends and best practices for nonprofit leaders.
  1. Preparing for the Future
    • Insights into long-term planning, sustainability, and equity.
    • Preparing organizations for technological advancements and future workforce demands.
    • Strategies for building resilient and future-ready nonprofits.

Session Formats

We encourage proposals for:

  • Interactive Workshops: Hands-on sessions designed to engage participants in skill-building and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Panel Discussions: Diverse perspectives on key issues, featuring multiple speakers sharing expertise and insights.
  • Case Studies: Presentations of real-world examples showcasing innovative approaches or lessons learned.
  • Roundtables: Facilitated discussions encouraging dialogue and idea-sharing among attendees.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals should include:

  • Brief biography highlighting your relevant experience
  • Brief summary of your proposed presentation
  • Any supporting materials (e.g., previous speaking engagements, publications)

Why Present?

As a breakout session presenter, you will:

  • Share your expertise and inspire nonprofit professionals from across Wisconsin and beyond.
  • Showcase your innovative ideas and position yourself as a thought leader.
  • Contribute to building a stronger, more resilient nonprofit community.

Deadline for Submissions:

All proposals must be submitted by March 15, 2024. Our expert review committee will evaluate all submissions based on relevance, originality, and potential impact. Accepted speakers will be notified by April 18, 2025.

Please Note

  • Presenters are welcome to submit more than one proposal for different sessions.
  • In our commitment to maintaining accessible ticket prices, we cannot pay conference presenters except those delivering keynote speeches.
  • As a token of our appreciation, presenters and co-presenters, including those participating in panels, will be exempt from any conference registration fees for the day(s) of their presentation(s).
