In the fall of 2020, HBI joined into a training partnership with Candid.org, home to GuideStar, the Foundation Center, and former GrantSpace (now Candid Learning).As a new member of the Funding Information Network, HBI & UWM have the combined goal of providing nonprofits throughout Wisconsin access to the Foundation Directory Online, further skills-building professional development opportunities, and additional capacity-building resources.
2021 will bring new online training sessions to nonprofits throughout Wisconsin, focusing on the basics of fundraising, nonprofit finance, and board governance as part of HBI’s new Nonprofit Skills Academy. A 5-part series we call our Virtual Fundraising Boot Camp is now accepting registrations (see the Upcoming Events below for January’s offerings).
Some Academy offerings will require a small fee to participate, while others will be available free of charge. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, we will be offering all workshops at no cost through June 2020. At that time, we will reassess Wisconsin’s nonprofit community needs.
