In the fall of 2020, HBI joined a training partnership with Candid.org, home to GuideStar, the Foundation Center, and former GrantSpace (now Candid Learning).
As new members of the Funding Information Network, HBI & UWM have the combined goal of providing nonprofits throughout Wisconsin access to the Foundation Directory Online, further skills-building professional development opportunities and additional capacity-building resources. Additionally, UWM faculty and staff are developing online and in-person workshops on various topics focusing on hard skills useful to nonprofit boards, leaders, and staff.
Some Academy offerings will require a small fee to participate, while others will be available free of charge.
