Shadika Panta, an undergraduate student at UWM studying Biological Sciences, earned second place with her team in the WI AHEC Interprofessional Case Competition. Panta and her team competed against eight finalist teams out of the 17 that applied. They earned $2,000 as part of their prize.

The virtual competition took place over the course of two months on a complicated case study. The team conducted an analysis of interprofessional efforts surrounding the care of a patient. The top teams chosen then presented their recommendations to improve collaboration to a panel of judges.
