Dr. Emily Latch has been invited to speak to a committee of experts convened by the National Academy of Sciences. The committee has been convened to determine whether the red wolf and the Mexican gray wolf are valid taxonomic species and subspecies, respectively. This Wolf Taxonomy committee is examining evidence and perspectives from experts, and Dr. Latch has been invited to speak as an expert on the role of hybridization in species formation.
