Dr. Filipe Alberto, associate professor of biological sciences, and Nathan Tennies, undergraduate student studying mathematics and biological sciences, were featured in UWM In Focus. Tennies was awarded the Senior Excellence in Research Award for his work with Dr. Alberto. Dr. Alberto and Tennies are working to develop an app that tracks and analyzes the effect of temperature on giant kelp.
