This exhibition presents two works, Returning Home at Sunset andRussian Winter Scene, by the Polish painter Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski.  These works, coming from the Pabst Mansion and the UWM Art Collection, illustrate that Wierusz-Kowalski’s works can be seen as a commentary on the social and political situation of Poland during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
