As Special Assistant to the Provost for Academic Affairs, Suzanne Boyd provides institutional support for and oversight of select academic affairs activities, including academic planning (new programs, program changes, program reviews), accreditation (serving as the HLC Accreditation Liaison Officer) and assessment. The Special Assistant for Academic Affairs reports to the Provost and collaborates with divisions across the university in fulfillment of areas of responsibility and oversight.

Suzanne Boyd joined UWM in 2006, and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences in the College of Letters and Science, and has been on the faculty of UWM since 2006. She has served on many UWM governance committees including APC, APCC, APBC, GPRC, and Faculty Senate. She chaired the Department of Mathematical Sciences from July 2019 through June 2022.
