Full time position opening for Youth Educator. Position is located in Milwaukee and posted both internally & externally. Interested applicants should submit their internal bids/applications directly to the HR Dept.

Job duties:

  • Implement evidence based curriculum for youth such as but not limited to teen pregnancy prevention, dating violence prevention, and sexual assault prevention
  • Establish relationships with various public schools and/or youth serving social service agencies
  • Recruit sites to implement evidence based curriculum
  • Link youth to community resources and/or services
  • Provide case management to youth and their families as needed
  • Conduct community presentations and outreach to promote youth program and awareness
  • Complete and submit monthly statistics in a timely manner related to case management
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the project partners to implement program activities, presentations and/or outreach activities

Implemented curriculum is called Making Proud Choices, which educates Youth around teen sexual health, contraception, negotiation skills, positive relationships, and proud, healthy choices. It is an AMAZING curriculum. Modules are taught to a class for 1 hour a day only, but may be scheduled with several classes per day at Educator’s discretion.

Youth Educators have from August 14th 2017 – June 31st 2018 to teach benchmark of students throughout 5 schools. Youth Educator works essentially as a mobile health teacher for a grant through Boys & Girls Club of Great Milwaukee. Also work as an official Mandated Reporter in the case a youth discloses sensitive information, so cross-training as a Case Manager occurs in order to provide resources, info, and referrals for your clients and their families. Enriching trainings about LGBTQ+ sensitivity, trauma informed care, and human trafficking with city-wide coalitions.
