RHC Emergency Award

Spring 2021 Application period is currently CLOSED

RHC Emergency Award (formerly scholarship) Description
The Roberto Hernández Center is committed to supporting Latinx student success at UWM. Our experience in serving Latinx students has proven that more often than not, Latinx students are also full-time workers, heads of households and parents. In response to the unique needs of our students, the RHC has established the Latino Student Fund, a unique source of emergency funding for currently enrolled Latinx students facing unexpected expenses that affect their continued pursuit of an undergraduate degree. The overall goal of the Latinx Student Fund is to increase the number of Latinxs successfully graduating from the university.

How to Apply
Apply for an Emergency Award (UWM Students Only). Funds for these scholarships are based on the interest generated by the scholarship endowment. At the current level of the endowment up to twenty, $500 scholarships will be available per year [as the endowment is increased, then more will be available] and when these funds are available, we will post a notice here.
