Professor Kennan Ferguson is among an elite group of scholars invited to join the Institute for Research in the Humanities as a UW System Fellow for AY 2020-2021.  While in residence at the Institute, Professor Ferguson will work on his current project, Beholden: Between Freedom and Debt, in which debt is a relationship, and is neither necessarily good nor bad.

The Department of Political Science is pleased to support this opportunity for Professor Ferguson to engage with a carefully selected set of scholars over the questions raised in his research and we’re excited that Professor Ferguson will be able to spend an extraordinarily engaging year in an exciting place working on what will likely become a seriously impactful book.
